Biography: Prof Chao-Yuan Jin's research activities have a distinct focus on nano-photonic devices for optical signal and quantum information processing, including lasers, single-photon sources, optical switches, optical amplifiers, and nano-photonic integrated circuits. He has authored and coauthored more than 70 papers published by international leading journals, including Nature Nanotechnology, Applied Physics Letters, Physical Reviews, Optical Letters, and IEEE journals. His work on the ultrafast control of spontaneous emission has been selected as one of 30 most exciting research in Optics in 2014 by the Optical Society of American. He was selected as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow in 2008, a '100-Talents' at Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015, a Vice-Chancellor's Fellow at University of Sheffield in 2015, a '100-Talents Professor' at Zhejiang University in 2017, and a JSPS Bridge Fellow in 2017.
