Biography: Jing Zhou obtained his doctor degree in Optics at Fudan University in 2011. He worked as a research fellow at the University of Michigan with Prof. L. Jay Guo during 2011-2015. In September 2015, he joined the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences as Associate Professor, and in 2020 he was promoted to Professor. Jing Zhou has been engaged in the research on mechanism, device, and demonstration verification of new quantum structured infrared detectors enhanced by integrated nanophotonic structures and metamaterials, focusing on the core bottlenecks in the development of infrared detectors of low-dimensional quantum structured materials for air and space infrared sensing, infrared multi-dimensional detection, and precise target identification. Jing Zhou has published 56 papers in SCI journals including Phys. Rev. Lett., Light Sci. Appl., Adv. Mater. and Nano Lett. Those papers have been cited by more than 1500 times. He has been granted 7 invention patents (including 1 US patent). Jing Zhou has been awarded several career honors, such as National Youth Talent Program and Hundred Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
